Terms of Service

Last updated: April 29, 2026 · Effective: May 1, 2026 · Revised April 29, 2026 (added §8 Insurance, disability, and FMLA evidence packets)

1. Read this first: postdrome is not medical advice

postdrome is a self-tracking tool, not a medical device. We are not a healthcare provider. Nothing in the app or this website constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The information postdrome shows you is generated from your own logged data and on-device statistical analysis. It is not reviewed by a clinician. It is not a replacement for professional medical care. If you have a medical concern, talk to a licensed physician.

If you are experiencing a thunderclap headache (the worst headache of your life), a sudden new neurological symptom (vision loss, weakness, slurred speech), confusion, fever with neck stiffness, or any symptom that feels significantly different from your typical migraine pattern, seek emergency care immediately. These can indicate stroke, hemorrhage, infection, or other life-threatening conditions that postdrome cannot detect. Call 911 or your local emergency number.

2. Acceptance

By installing and using postdrome, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

3. Who we are

postdrome is a product of SailQuery LLC, a Maryland limited liability company.

4. Your account

postdrome can be used without an account for the first seven days. After that, or upon first export / import / Pro purchase, the app prompts you to sign in with Apple. You're responsible for keeping your Apple ID secure. We don't store any password.

5. Pro features: one-time, lifetime

postdrome Pro is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase of $14.99 (USD; pricing in other regions follows Apple's tier mapping). Pro unlocks specific features (Apple Watch app, cross-device sync, and formal export templates for insurance prior authorization and disability claims) that are listed in the app at purchase time.

Pro is honored for the lifetime of the postdrome app (we anticipate this means at minimum five years; in practice, however long we maintain the product). It is tied to your Apple ID, so you can install postdrome on any of your Apple devices and the entitlement carries over via Apple's "Family Sharing"-equivalent mechanisms where applicable.

postdrome will never charge a subscription. If we change pricing for new buyers, existing Pro purchasers are unaffected. Refunds are handled by Apple per their standard App Store policy.

6. Your data

Your symptom logs, medications, voice memos, and personal notes are yours. We don't store them on our servers; they live on your device and (if you opt in) in your own iCloud via Apple's CloudKit. See our Privacy Policy for the full list.

You can export all your data as PDF or CSV at any time. You can delete all your data any time from Settings → Account → Delete account (when signed in) or Settings → Data → Delete all postdrome data (when not signed in) inside the app. The signed-in path also deletes your account record from our backend; both paths wipe the on-device copy and the iCloud copy. You can also delete the app and the iCloud copy separately from your Apple ID settings.

7. Tamper-evident reports

The "Doctor's report" PDF that postdrome generates includes a cryptographic hash. The hash lets a third party (a disability adjuster, an insurance reviewer, your physician's office) verify on this website that the document is bit-for-bit what postdrome originally produced. The hash does not indicate medical accuracy or completeness; it only indicates that the document was generated by the postdrome app and has not been altered. We provide the verification tool at postdrome.app/verify. You agree not to forge or misrepresent these reports.

8. Insurance, disability, and FMLA evidence packets

postdrome's Pro export templates (the CGRP prior-authorization evidence packet, the SSDI / FMLA disability evidence packet, and any other formal report we add) generate PDFs from the data you have entered into the app. They are intended to support a conversation with your healthcare provider, insurer, employer, or the Social Security Administration. They are not a guarantee of any outcome.

SailQuery LLC and postdrome are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Social Security Administration, any insurance company, any employer, or any clinical organization. We do not promise that submitting a postdrome-generated PDF will result in prior-authorization approval, a disability determination, FMLA approval, accommodation, or any other specific outcome. Those decisions are made solely by the entity reviewing your claim, based on their own criteria, your full medical record, and their independent judgment.

The data in every PDF reflects what you entered into postdrome. You are responsible for reviewing it for accuracy before submitting it. The validated questionnaires the app surfaces (MIDAS, HIT-6) are self-assessment screening tools, not diagnostic instruments and not medical advice. The headache-day, migraine-day, and medication-overuse thresholds the app references (per ICHD-3) are clinical conventions for self-monitoring; only a licensed clinician can render a diagnosis.

Plan-criteria language referenced in the templates (for example, specific CGRP biologic prior-authorization thresholds for UnitedHealthcare, Cigna, Kaiser, or BCBS; or the SSA SSR 19-4p evidence framework for migraine SSDI) was current as of the date noted on the report. Verify with the current payer or agency policy at submission time. We update the templates periodically but do not guarantee they reflect every payer's most recent published criteria.

By generating any report in postdrome, you acknowledge these limitations. The first time you generate a report, the app shows you a one-time confirmation screen that summarizes them; subsequent reports include a footer reminding you of the same.

9. Acceptable use

Don't use postdrome to harm yourself or others. Don't try to break the app, reverse-engineer it, or use it for any unlawful purpose. Don't try to inject false data and pass it off as a postdrome-generated record (the tamper-evident hash exists to prevent this and we may pursue people who do).

10. Disclaimers

postdrome is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE." SailQuery LLC disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We make no guarantee that postdrome will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any specific feature will continue to work the way it works today. We use commercially reasonable efforts to maintain the app, but software has bugs, Apple's APIs change, and devices fail.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall SailQuery LLC be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, arising out of your use of postdrome. Our total cumulative liability arising out of or related to these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us for postdrome (which for most users is zero, and at most $14.99).

Some jurisdictions don't allow these limitations; in those places, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SailQuery LLC from any claim arising out of your misuse of postdrome (including misrepresenting tamper-evident reports, using the app for unlawful purposes, or violating someone else's rights).

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes shall be resolved in state or federal courts located in Maryland.

14. Changes

We may update these terms occasionally. The "Last updated" date will reflect the change. Continued use of postdrome after a change means you accept the new terms. We will not retroactively reduce features that you've already paid for.
