Comparison
Postdrome vs Migraine Insight
Migraine Insight is the closest active competitor to Postdrome on the thing that matters most for the chronic cohort: continuous tracking. It has a pain-level mode, automatic weather correlation, and Android support. The two apps overlap, then split on what they choose to model.
Choose Postdrome if
You want the postdrome phase and headache-free vestibular attacks modeled as first-class data, you want your health data in your own iCloud, and you prefer a one-time price.
Choose Migraine Insight if
You want automatic weather, barometric, and pollen correlation, you are on Android, or you want a chronic pain-level mode from a longer-established app and are comfortable with a subscription.

| Vestibular / headache-free | Yes, an independent symptom dimension | Not specifically modeled |
| Chronic fit | Built for it | Pain-level mode for daily tracking |
| Weather correlation | Not the focus | Automatic weather, barometric, and pollen |
| Platforms | iOS (Apple Watch with Pro) | iOS and Android, Apple Watch |
| Pricing | $14.99 one-time, free core | Subscription, around $7.99/mo billed annually |

Where the two apps overlap
This is the fairest comparison in the field, because Migraine Insight is not a discrete-attack tracker pretending to handle chronic migraine. It has a genuine pain-level mode for logging daily, which suits a migraine that does not resolve cleanly between attacks. If continuous tracking is your whole requirement, both apps can do it, and Migraine Insight is actively maintained with a real feature set.
It also does things Postdrome does not chase. Automatic weather, barometric, and pollen correlation is a real edge for people whose attacks track the weather, and Android support matters if you are not on an iPhone.
Where they split
The split is what each app decided to model explicitly. Migraine Insight tracks pain levels over time. Postdrome models the migraine as several independent dimensions, headache pain, vestibular symptoms, residual photophobia, brain fog, neck stiffness, and mood, with the postdrome treated as a recovery tail rather than a continuation of pain.
That matters for two groups in particular. If your worst disability is the postdrome, you want it modeled as its own thing, not folded into a pain score. And if your attacks are vestibular, with dizziness and little or no headache, a pain-level model is the wrong shape. Postdrome models both explicitly; we did not find specific postdrome-phase or vestibular modeling in Migraine Insight.
Both apps track the migraine continuously. Only one of them is built around the part that comes after the headache.
Price and data
Migraine Insight is a subscription, around $7.99 a month billed annually as of mid-2026. Postdrome is a one-time $14.99 with the pattern insights and the neurology-ready PDF kept free. Over a couple of years that is a real difference in total cost.
On data, Postdrome keeps health data in your own iCloud. Migraine Insight does not clearly disclose its storage architecture, which is worth checking against its current privacy policy if where your data lives is a priority for you.
